The Pinnacles project is GLE’s largest site in Queensland to date , at 1890ha it is a massive site which will be developed over the next 25 years.
In an Australian energy futures market which is yet to fully understand the impact of Carbon accountability, developments of this nature need significant expertise when realising how site wide energy use should be planned. Through clever engineering basic covenants were set (achieving flexibility and avoiding limitations to the choice of a developer) and a switch to gas for a fuel source, have resulted in this very low carbon impact site. All of this has been achieved with minimal cost to the land owner. We are currently considering how to reduce this carbon footprint even further using active renewable energy systems such as bio CHP, Wind and Photovoltacis.
