The project for Keema Automotive Group is a new car showroom extension to their existing site at Springwood. Our Client, a family owned business, originally set-up in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane in the 1950’s . Over six decades of growth has contributed to the expansion of their current site.
The 800m2 extension involved a 2-storey structure comprising of showroom area, offices, back-of-house facilities and ground floor car parking.
Our team worked with Brisbane based WIM Architects to develop a Building Services Strategy for Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic services. The brief was to create a design complementing the existing building, over a decade old, but also ensuring compliance to up-to-date energy efficiency standards.
Natural ventilation in conjunction with only select areas of air conditioning was adopted, with the project due to start on site by mid 2009.
