Moranbah, Central Queensland, Australia
Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and ESD

Situated in the heart of the Bowen Basin, Mooranbah is the civic hub of the Isaac Region. Due to the recent resource boom, the area has developed rapidly along with the need for a new efficiently running council building.

Green Leaf Engineers were engaged to offer a fully integrated mechanical and electrical design including cooling, ventilation, vertical transportation, lighting and power distribution systems across the four stories and 4300m2 of office space.
Our design featured a number of innovative features to minimise energy consumption including ventilated hollow core floor plates. These floor plates formed part of the building cooling scheme in which, warmer daytime air is purged and replaced with naturally cool evening air alleviating the energy loads of mechanical cooling systems.
