Curry’s Mountain retreat is located in the lush hinterland of the NSW’s South Coast. The site has been identified as an area of high environmental conservation value and is subject to the BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) to reduce use of potable water, greenhouse gas emissions and lowering energy consumption.
Green Leaf are responsible for designing, mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, specialist lighting and home automation systems across 470m2 of internal space, 223m2 of veranda 6 bathrooms, a swimming pool and water features.
To achieve the BASIX requirements in a cost effective manner, we have foremost considered passive design principles followed by implementing energy efficient technology. Furthermore, The entire dwelling will run from 100% renewable energy technologies such as photovoltaic cells to minimise the site’s energy footprint.
