General

GLE are researching and in the early design phase of a hybrid hydrogen-solar power system known as ‘powerpack’. The intention is to be able to develop an energy module that will enable houses to sit off the gas and electricity networks. The aim of the product is to use as much solar energy as is cost effective, producing and storing hydrogen through peak solar and utilise a standard BBQ gas bottle to power the house when solar or hydrogen is not available. The intention is that the unit will be cheaper than paying utility hook up charges for new developments and is ultimately far more sustainable, even if you purchase 100% green power.
