This expansion to an existing hotel is all about efficient construction. Our design mandate for this project is to have the new element of construction completed as fast and as painlessly to the existing structure so the running of the hotel is not affected. We will be designing modular bathroom pods, which have been prefabricated off site to speed up the building services installation. And increase the high finishes quality whilst maintaining the budget. We are aiming at minimising coordination issues by drawing this important element in 3D .
Correct use of external solar shading devices will reduce mechanical system sizes and loads on the substation.
The use of post tensioned slabs have made the structural systems lightweight, leaning the structure and reducing capital cost.
