The thermodynamic and lighting Building Information Modeling (BIM) was used to great effect in designing building services for The Precinct accommodation and adjoining shopping facility. Comprehensive modeling allowed us to virtually test designs in tropical Townsville conditions before the commencement of building. With the use of BIM we have engineered building services precisely for the conditions of The Precinct. BIM has also facilitated detailed visual communication between all parties involved in the design and construction process reducing the possibility of expensive alterations during the building phase of development.
