Phase 1 of the Island Master Plan focuses on a new residential development at Basil Bay - which will see 100 new sustainable homes on the Island.
Green Leaf Engineers was commissioned in 2009 to inspect the existing services network, and to design new power, telecommunications, and TV infrastructure to serve new sustainable dwellings. Design was also undertaken for providing power to remote sewerage, rain water and recycled water pumping stations.
The Green Leaf design team assessed and addressed master planning sustainability benefits through a feasibility study considering of photo-voltaic power, solar water heating, and efficient lighting schemes.
