Green Leaf supports 2010 Architecture Awards

The team at Green Leaf are proud to have supported the AIA Awards for the 3rd consecutive year. In addition to the Brisbane Regional Sustainability Category (with City Design winning a commendation for the Willawong Bus Depot project) we sponsored the inaugural ‘Best Dressed’ Award.

The fancy-dress theme of ‘Stimulation Package’ had most awards attendees stumped, but you can see from the images here that Base architects (also winners of the Brisbane House of Year) put their best assets forward to win the ‘Best Dressed’ category.

Solar Panel Technology sourced from Moths

The moths eye is considerably less reflective than most nocturnal animals. It is composed of arrays of microscopic bumps that are arranged in hexagonal patterns. The bumps are 'smaller than the wavelength of visible light' states Peng Jiang, an assistant professor of chemical engineering at the University of Florida, USA.
